AlgoMerchant team is the first Singapore-based data scientist who successfully created Artificial Intelligence Technology to help stock market traders and investors identify market inefficiencies and profit from them. The research was carried out in early 2015 and led to a big thing contributing to Machine Learning technology and finance.

Graduated from Nanyang Technological University with Degree in Computer Engineering and with over 10 years of experience in algorithmic trading and financial markets. He garnered experience in trading and capital markets by pursuing careers in Credit Suisse, Phillip Capital and CIMB. His dual passion in trading and A.I. started when he worked on a thesis called the Application of Genetic Algorithm in Stock Trading in Nanyang Technological University.
15 years experience in cross-asset investing and portfolio management, managing over SGD 100 million in assets for institutional and high-net-worth investors. Starting as a professional handling wealth at various banks such as Citibank, Standard Chartered, and United Overseas Bank. Today, he is a full-time proprietary trader and entrepreneur. He graduated in information systems from the University of London.
He is an experienced Futures and Equity trader with over 12 years of track record with various institutional proprietary desks. He is also a regular speaker at public forums on the financial market and trading strategies. He is a trainer and licensed portfolio manager in Singapore Asset Management, handling over 1 billion dollar assets under management. Edmund holds a Masters in Finance (MSc) from Baruch College City University of New York.
He was a former Chief Executive Officer at Fraser Securities (KGI) and the President Director of Lippo’s Ciptadana Asset Management. His experience covers fund management, REIT, securities trading, and corporate finance. He managed Quantitative Asset Management to deal with ultra-high Net worth individuals’ private funds. Graduated from National University of Singapore with Degree in Economics and Statistics and has over 30 years of experience in Financial Markets and Asset Management.
He has over 15 years of experience in areas of quantitative trading across various asset classes such as Forex, Swap, NDF and Equities. Starting as a Quant in Bloomberg and later joined as the Head of High Frequency trading desk in BNP Paribas which focuses on Forex trading. Graduated with Highest Distinction (top 1%) from California Institute of Technology (Caltech) with a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering and is also from University of California, Berkeley with Master in Financial Engineering. He is also a member of MENSA and was an active contributor to research publication in IEEE.
